La Nina conditions have returned, meaning a similar winter to last years. Here is the usual set-up of a La Nina winter:
This means VERY wet weather across the Ohio Valley for the upcoming winter, but temps will be determined with the position of the jet stream. In general, if the storm track shifts slightly farther north than last year, a warmer winter would be possible, with more rain than snow. If the storm track is like last years, or even farther south, a snowy and frigid winter would be in store. Only time will tell at this point. This will all be fine-tuned as we get closer to winter, but I think overall we can expect a winter much like last years.
