Irene Tracking Center

Good morning! All eyes continue to be on Irene, as that is a big headline across the U.S. right now! This storm is going to affect so many people, & its going to be a busy weekend in the weather world for sure. I have set up webcams on the blog from the east coast, so we can have a view of what is going on!

Before I get to that.. let's hurry and discuss our weather. Really not much to talk about, we will enjoy lots of sun, and temps today in the middle 80s. A weak front looks to move into the area tomorrow, but for now I am keeping it dry, with lots of sun still expected. Temps will be in the middle 80s. This will knock our temps down around 80 for Sunday.

LATEST ON IRENE: As of this morning Irene i down to a cat. 2, but likely to upgrade to a cat. 3 by time it hits the Carolinas. Check out all the hurricane watch/warnings along the east coast, and the latest track:

Obviously, a track like this is going to cause lots of damage, and very scary times for sure! I have set up the latest webcams from all over the east coast, to track Irene's impact:
Myrtle Beach, SC

Kill Devil Hills, NC
Avalon Fishing Pier Webcams
Wright Brothers Memorial Webcams

Nags Head, NC

New Bern, NC

Elizabeth City, NC

Kitty Hawk, NC

Now we have all we need to track this hurricane move into North Carolina tomorrow night! I will be adding more cams this weekend! Have a great day!
