Irene has made landfall this morning, and is a category 1. You have got to tune into the weather channel, because they have crews reporting live out in this, and it is truly unbelievable!! Looks like lots of damage is taking place in Virginia and North Carolina at this time. They literally have to hang on to something to not blow away!
I have heard from the NYC mayor that they may shut off power in the city! This storm is going to cause major damage to major NE cities, along with major flooding and beach erosion. Here are radars to track Irene's northward track:
