Tracking Another Heat Wave, Labor Day Forecast, Latest on Tropics!
Good morning! Thanks for checking the blog! What a gorgeous morning! Many areas saw lows in the low 50s this morning! This is a good time to turn the a/c off, because you will need it going full blast starting Thursday!
Highs today will hit the middle 80s, with lots of sun!
Clouds will be increasing tonight, with a shower threat. Lows will be in the low 60s.
Slightly warmer tomorrow, in the mid-upper 80s. A few showers are possible, but many areas will stay dry.
The heat wave takes hold starting Thursday! Check out these numbers I am predicting:
Thursday: 93. Heat index near 100.
Friday: 97. Heat index: 100-105.
Saturday: 91. Heat index near 100.
Please take it easy, and don't leave pets or children in the car. Thursday & Friday stay dry, but storm chances increase starting Saturday. This is where the changes begin. Sunday will be cooler in the 80s, with more storm chances. The front moves through Sunday night, and it will pump in cool Canadian air! Highs on Labor Day will only hit the middle 70s! Check out this cool shot on the maps below:
You should notice the overall pattern, cool in the east, hot in the west. This pattern is going to continue, and likely to see temps slightly cooler than average for the first few weeks of September!
Tropics: Tropical storm Katia has formed in the Atlantic, still a little iffy whether it will impact to U.S, so check back. Here is where Katia is located:
A busy time in the tropics for sure! We may also need to watch the Gulf, because something may try to form there this weekend. Thanks for checking the blog, check back for more updates!
