Hi everyone! Thanks for checking the blog. I hope everyone enjoyed the unexpected sunshine yesterday, because today and tomorrow will be cool and plain nasty! Just looking ahead.. we will see a MAJOR turn-around in temperatures by the weekend and through the rest of the month. This warm-up will have the staying power that all the other warm-ups didn't have! It could also spark some severe weather for the end of May. Before I get to all that, here is the forecast for the next few days:
Today will be a gloomy and cold day, with highs only in the mid 50s. Drizzle and scattered sprinkles will move in this afternoon. Light rain will fall tonight, with very little amounts expected.
Tomorrow will be another showery day, but a little warmer. Highs will hit the low-mid 60s.
We will begin to feel the warm up Thursday, with only isolated rain chances. Highs will hit the low 70s!
Friday will be the day to get outside, with partly sunny skies and middle 70s!
Extended Outlook: By this weekend, we will have warmth and humidity, with highs nearing 80. It looks like we may have a decent shot of scattered storms both days this weekend, but no washouts expected at this time. Look at all that warm air surging into the Ohio Valley by Saturday:
Now here is the temperature difference from today and Sunday:
This means temperatures will from way below normal, to a bit above normal. Keep in mind, 80s are pretty normal for late May! The pattern next week looks hot and humid, with scattered storms. Highs will be in the 80s! Even if the pattern is active, I love the hot weather!! We will have to watch for some potential severe weather firing up with the heat.
Thanks for taking your time to read natesweatherblog! Have a great day!
