Good evening! Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far. Did you think today was windy enough? Well just wait till tomorrow. Oh yeah, watch out for those flying cows as well! :) In fact, winds are expected to be in the 30-40 sustained, with up to 50 mph gusts not out of the question. Point is, anchor down all trash cans, loose furniture, etc. Also keep in mind that this will also make driving difficult at times, especially those heading south, towards the winds. Here is the map of advisories:
Here is your Sunday weather breakdown:
9am:
55.
Noon:
60.
5pm:
63.
Why so windy tomorrow? We actually have two things in play to these strong winds. There is a strong storm system to our west, and a cold front that will be in the area tomorrow. Because of this, we have very tight pressure (isobars). The closer the lines on the maps, the stronger the winds. Take a look:
I don't have time to go in-depth on next week's set-up, but here are some highlights:
-Heavy rains likely Monday-Monday night. Up to 1".
-Rains end Tuesday
-Quiet and normal November weather for the second half of next week, upper 40s-low 50s.
I will try to have another update sometime tomorrow. Have a great evening!
