Warmth Continues, Mid-Week Changes!

Good afternoon everyone! Hope everyone is having a great start to the new week. I'm sure no one can complain about the weather over the past few days. Another pattern change expected in a couple days, that will deliver colder temps.

This Afternoon/Evening: We are in the 60's right now, with a few showers NW of Indy. Most of the rainfall this afternoon should stay away from areas along and southeast of Indy, with Terre Haute, Crawfordsville, & Lafayette seeing the best rain chances. Can't rule out spotty rainfall in Indy as well. Here is what you need to track these showers:

Overnight: It will be another mild night, with lows in the lower 50's. The trend tonight will be for the rain to start lifting north, and eventually out of all but far NW Indiana by tomorrow daybreak:

Election Day: It will be a gorgeous day! Skies will be partly sunny, and temps will feel more like early October!! Highs will hit the lower 70's. That should be our last 70 for a LONG time!!!! Enjoy it!

Extended: The next system will move into the area late Tuesday night/Wednesday. Here is the latest timing on the weather models:

Wednesday morning:

Wednesday afternoon:

Here are the forecast rain amounts, not a whole lot for us, but look just northwest of us:

Things will dry out again Thursday, with much colder air. On Thursday, temps will struggle to reach the middle 40's, and with enough instability, there may some snow flake action in parts of the area. Don't get excited, just saying the chance is there. Things will be warming back up quickly again by next weekend. We could see some 60's again next weekend, ahead of another system.

Thanks for checking in, have a great afternoon!
