Tracking some changes, interesting monthly outlook!

Good afternoon! Welcome to the first day of November! Isn't hard to believe we are heading into the fun holiday season times? I will be putting Christmas decorations up in a little over 2 weeks! :) The weather pattern continues to be an extreme and active one across the U.S, and show's no signs of letting up. I think we have an increased threat of some accumulating snowfall before month's end! I will be showing you the monthly outlook here in a moment, but first let's talk about the present weather. Temperatures have warmed up into the 60s after that chilly start in the 20s! Here is your full evening outlook:

Evening Forecast:

Sunny & Nice! 65-55.

Wednesday will feature another shot of fantastic around here, and even warmer! Many areas should approach 70 degrees! ENJOY WHILE YOU CAN!

The next storm system rides in Thursday. Thursday will be a wet and rather raw day, with much cooler temps in the low 50s. Here is a look at how the models handle this system......

As the rain moves in....

As the system exits:

The models have trended a little heavier with the rainfall amounts, with up to 1" Indy westward. Here is a look at the HPC:

Alright guys. I've got your breakdown on the entire month of November. I broke it down in two sections of the month. Here you go........

First half of November: Looks average-slightly above average, with a stormy pattern setting up. This means several storm systems will hit the area through mid-month, bring warmth ahead of them, possible severe weather, heavy rains, and cooler air behind each system. Right now I can't pinpoint easily, but it does look like a big system early next week. then again possibly around the 12th.

Second half of November: Looks nothing short of interesting!! Keep in mind, there are barrow loads of frigid air in Canada, that continues to grow in coverage and strength. Here is a look at it right now:

Eventually it will have to unleash, right? And it will! Timing is difficult, but thinking is increasing of a MAJOR pattern change just before Thanksgiving, with the push of air absolutely invading much of the country. This is actually very similar to last year. What could this mean? Well strength of the arctic air will have yet to be seen, but could make for some interesting forecasting for late month. This is likely to be the "switch" to a very cold pattern like we saw late Nov./early Dec. last year. With the pattern remaining active, this will increase chances of snowfall around here for late month. In November, we actually average just over a 1/2" of snow in Indy. Time will tell, but fun times are right around the corner! :)

Thanks for checking out the blog, have a great evening.
