About Me

Hello everyone.  My name is Nathan Kitchens.  I am a meteorologist!  I graduated from Mississippi State in May 2017.  I have spent the past 2 1/2 years forecasting for BAM Weather, providing weather across the country, including major sporting events and festivals.  I am now moving to the television side of weather.  😀 I'm going to reveal much more here soon!

My passion for weather started very early on in my life.  As a child, I was very fascinated by cloud types and the ever-changing weather patterns we experience here in the Midwest.  I decided to start this weather blog when I was in high school as a way to share my passion for forecasting Indiana's crazy weather with you all.  I appreciate all of the followers I have picked up over the past several years since starting this website.

Along with managing my own weather website, along the way I have also joined a couple of different social media weather pages as a weather forecaster.  One is a storm chasing team called Convective Weather.  I provide forecasts which help our storm chasers and viewers plan and prepare for any impending severe weather.  Another weather source I forecast for is Metro Weather Watch, which covers weather in the greater Evansville area.  This includes southwest Indiana, southeast Illinois, and northwest Kentucky.  Our weather page has grown very rapidly with followers who depend on us for accurate and reliable weather forecasts in the tri-state.

My weather blog primarily focuses on weather for central and southern Indiana, although I will cover weather events going on across the region/country as well.  Along the way, I hope to spark interest in the weather to folks who follow my page.  Our weather here in the Midwest is extremely exciting, and I enjoy sharing the weather and some of the science behind it with you all.  Thanks for following me!  You can also follow me on Facebook  and Twitter.
