Memorial Day Storm Chances - Then The Heat Is On!

Just a couple sprinkles on the radar locally right now. Not

too bad out there with a few peeks of sun and current temps warming in the 60's. There is a band of rain/thunder in Illinois, BUT it is weakening as it heads into Indiana. Why? Dry air. Dewpoints in many areas are only in the 40's. If you have plans later this afternoon or anytime this evening, there will be a few scattered showers to dodge, but a good deal of dry weather as well. Just keep an eye on the radar and don't cancel your plans.

              MEMORIAL DAY UPDATE

There is still a chance of a few showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, as the warm front begins to push through the area. The highest threat for rain will be across northern Indiana. Due to the position of the warm front passing through, expect a pretty big range in temperatures. Lower 80's for highs tomorrow in southwest Indiana, while northeast Indiana is stuck in the upper 60's. Let's remember the real reason tomorrow for why we celebrate this holiday, thanks to all the brave soldiers for serving our country!

           REST OF THE WEEK OUTLOOK

If you love the summer warmth and humidity, you will LOVE this forecast. Highs will reach the middle to upper 80's Tuesday through next Saturday. There will be a threat for a few storms across the northern part of Indiana Tuesday, otherwise mostly sunny and dry through Friday. A chance of storms may return by next Saturday. Expect some great days to get out to the pools, with lots of sunscreen needed! The Climate Prediction Center's 6 to 10 day outlook demonstrates the strong  likelihood of above average temps in our part of the world!
