A Fall Chill!

Good morning! What a chilly start this morning! The coolest morning in Indy since May 27th. We could be approaching record level cold mornings the next couple of days!

Lots of sunshine will be the rule today, making for a beautiful, fall-like day. It will feel like a late October-early November day! Highs will hit the lower-middle 60s, but a breeze will make it feel more like 50s. It's going to be a great day for some outdoor activities!

Skies stay mainly clear tonight, making for the coldest night since sometime early last April. Lows tonight will dip in the upper 30s-low 40s. Patchy frost is possible outside of Indy metro. While it won't be a killing frost by any means, if you have potted plants outside, or tomatoes, bring them inside to be safe.

Some clouds will filter in for Friday, but it will stay dry & cool! Highs tomorrow will hit the middle 60s.

Our weekend will start out cool for Saturday morning, but will really begin to warm-up Saturday afternoon! Highs will be in the lower 70s, with lots of sunshine. Our next system will begin to move in Sunday, but rain chances will still be pretty isolated, so don't cancel plans. Highs will hit the middle 70s.

Next week will be characterized by much warmer weather for the first half of next week, with an unsettled pattern as well. We will have daily storm chances Monday-Wednesday, with highs in the upper 70s-lower 80s. You can see on the map below that a warm front will lift to our north, bringing in the warm air, with a cold front sitting to our west:
Day 6 Fronts and Pressures
That cold front will swing in late Wednesday, meaning drier and cooler after Wednesday of next week.

Have a great Thursday, check back for more updates.
