Major Pattern Change On The Way!

Good morning! It was a gorgeous weekend, wasn't it? You couldn't ask for a better weekend outdoors, especially with the peak of fall colors setting in. We should still squeeze out a couple more before our pattern undergoes major changes. More on that in a second.

You can see the set-up well on the satellite. We have a ridge of high pressure still dominating our weather sitting across the northeast. A storm system in Florida/Georgia is spreading high clouds our way. Another storm system sitting out in the plains.

Gorgeous weather will continue today and tomorrow with highs in the upper 70s. High clouds will gradually increase the next couple of days. Skies should become cloudy Wednesday, but we should stay dry until Wednesday night. The system from the south & the system to the west will basically collide Wednesday night, bringing showers to the area. These showers will continue off & on Thursday.

MUCH cooler air will spread into the area! Middle 60s on Thursday, and probably struggle to reach 60 Friday, with an upper low in the area. This will also be a breezy period.

The good news is that another gorgeous weekend could be in store for us next weekend! Winds will be gusty from the southwest, bringing a quick spike in temps! Partly sunny skies expected both days, with highs near 70 Saturday, middle 70s Sunday. If your still trying to plan perhaps one more good camping trip this season, this weekend may be a good time to do it!

A shot of very chilly air may invade the area sometime next week. This would have the potential to bring a frost/freeze our way. The pattern I am seeing setting up for the end of the month and November, is a pattern that can produce very chilly weather around here, maybe some snow flakes around here in November. That is why we need to soak up and enjoy the gorgeous weather around here today, because the amount of days of warm weather are certainly numbered and few!

We are right in the peak of fall colors across the hoosier state. If you have any fall color pics, be sure to e-mail them to me at Nathanlovesfood4@yahoo.com, and I will show your pics off here on the blog. Here are a couple snapshots I took this weekend in southern Indiana:

Thanks for checking the blog, have a great Monday!
