Weekend Forecast, Thanksgiving Travel Forecast, Looking Ahead To Potential First Snow!!

Good afternoon, everyone! Lots and lots of weather to talk about today, including a sneak peak at the interesting long-term thinking. Let's get this started......

Weekend Forecast:
Despite all the cold today, another quick shot of warmth will spread in this weekend! I will keep Saturday partly sunny and gorgeous, with highs nearing 60. By Saturday night and Sunday, changes come into play. Here is the timeline on the model runs:

Saturday Night:

Showers north, dry here.

Sunday:

A few scattered showers, still lots of dry weather.

Early Next Week:

There will be several waves moving through. I will take it step-by-step on the model runs:

Monday:

Scattered showers.

Tuesday-Wednesday:

Decent waves moves in. Showers likely during this time.

Wednesday:

Showers move out. Sunshine builds in just in time for all those travelers.

Right now, Thanksgiving is looking great!! Sunny skies and lower-middle 50's. Can't get much better than that for late November!

Black Friday looks like a great day for all those shoppers, with high pressure remaining in control. Temperatures should be on the mild side too.

The major changes build in for Thanksgiving weekend. Too early to even begin detailing on this, but please check out this map below:

If that does happen as the map shows, WATCH OUT! That would be the classic set-up for some decent snow around here. Even though the models change their thinking daily, I feel that we will be dealing with some snowfall around here to end Thanksgiving weekend. To make it more interesting, perhaps a severe weather outbreak for late Saturday, then snow on Sunday? Stay tuned. Fun times are coming! Winter looks to REALLY crank as we head towards the beginning of December. Sound familiar to last year? :)

Have a great evening.
