(7/7) WEEK AHEAD OUTLOOK

Who enjoyed the sunny skies and DRY weather today? Its been forever! What is normally the sunniest point of the year has been filled with lots of gloom and rain so far. That has also really affected our temperatures this summer, keeping things much more tolerable, although the humidity has been up due to all the rain and the moist ground.

The pattern over the next few days will feature typical July hot and humid weather along with several "waves" in the atmosphere  moving through to bring us a threat for scattered storms, but some of us will stay completely rain-free, with the more likely time for widespread storms coming in Wednesday, as a cold front approaches. Severe storms can't be ruled out, especially on Wednesday. You can see off the WPC rainfall accumulation through Thursday, that the highest rainfall amounts are likely to set up along & north of I-70. Highs through Wednesday will range from 85-90, with lots of humidity which will make it feel downright toasty.

Now to the good news you have waited to hear! A pattern change is expected later this week! :) Once the cold front drops south of Indiana during the day Thursday, humidity levels drop off big-time and temperatures will cool some as well (highs in the low 80s) making for a few BEAUTIFUL days which should stick around through at least part of the weekend. Weather like that is hard to come by for the middle of July!
