A hot day ahead, along with storms!

Good morning! It is a warm, muggy start this morning, and we are going to see our temperatures today likely the hottest since early in the month. Sunshine will be the rule through much of the day ahead, along with a southwest wind. Highs will hit the low 90s, with heat indices near 100 in the southwest.

I expect a line of potent thunderstorms to move in this evening, with damaging winds & hail main threats. Here is the severe risk outline:

Latest Day 1 convective outlook

I will have updates either here, on on the Indiana Weather Updates facebook page if anything turns severe, so be sure to check that out!

By tomorrow morning skies will be clearing out, along with drier air moving in! Sunny skies in the forecast tomorrow, and about 10 degrees cooler! Highs will hit the low-mid 80s.

From Friday through the weekend, we can expect tons of sun, and highs in the comfortable middle 80s.

Looking ahead to next week, rain chances will be hard to come by, as we can expect mainly dry weather continuing, and highs in the low-mid 80s.
