Nice For Now, High Heat Later This Week!

Good afternoon! Now that Irene is out, I can finally start talking about our weather here in Indiana. The weather has been simply quiet and sunny for a while, and today is no exception.

The weather will be great as you head out this evening, temps will be in the upper 70s-low 80s. Lows tonight will be in the mid-upper 50s!

Tomorrow should start sunny, then end with clouds increasing. Highs will be in the low-mid 80s.

A warm front will lift north Tuesday night-Wednesday, with a few showers possible. Most areas will continue to stay dry, however.

Thursday and Friday will be HOT & HUMID! Highs will soar in the middle 90s, with heat indices 100-105! Heat advisories may be issued, so stay tuned.

Labor Day Weekend: Next weekend is going to be a big weekend for many famalies, as we grasp the last fun holiday of the summer! :( Saturday will be warm & muggy, with decent storm chances. That doesn't mean it will rain all day. The cold front begins to move through Sunday, with more rain chances. We dry out for Labor Day, but REALLY cool down! Highs will go from 90 Saturday, to 75 Monday!

The rain chances are great news, even if we get it during a busy weekend! Much of the region is suffering in a moderate drought, stressing the trees and yards! Here is the latest drought map:

The models are really starting to show a good shot of very cool air for much of next week. Temps during the time will only hit the middle 70s, and lows may get as low as the upper 40s! Also, I am interested in the amount of cold air already building up in Canada. This should tell you something about our upcoming winter! :)

We'll have to wait & see how deep that trough will get next week. Anyway, thanks for checking Nate's Weather Blog.
