Hurricane Irene Update

Good afternoon! It is a gorgeous afternoon outside, with lots of sun, and less heat & humidity. These trend will continue over the next several days.

Right now, we focus our attention on Irene. This is going to be a historical storm for the east coast, and farther west than most tropical systems. Irene is already bringing rains to Florida this afternoon, and look how massive this storm is on the satellite:

This storm is going to be a MAJOR hit to major cities like Philadelphia, Norfolk, New York City, & Dover to name a few. This eye may go right on top of New York City, something that hasn't happened since the 1800s. Scary for sure!

Can't forget North Carolina! This storm is going to be a major hit to the outer banks of NC, and the eastern half of the state for sure! The Euro continues to be farther west with the storm, and you can see it clearly on the maps below:

Please stay tuned for updates on Irene. Have a great afternoon!
