Chiily and wet today, dry tomorrow!!

Good morning! Sorry I haven't updated for a while! Our weather pattern went from the 80s to the 50s in just a couple of days! This cooler pattern will stick around through the middle of the week or so, before MUCH warmer weather takes over for the second half of May.

Today will be nothing short of ugly.. with an upper-level low spinning showers across the area today. It will feel like March! Here is radar to track the cold rain today:

Oh yeah.. did I mention it will be breezy as well? It will only add to the chill today!

Northerly winds tonight will clear the rain out of the area, with a cold night ahead! Temperatures by tomorrow morning will be in the low 40s.

Matthew 5:16 Day: The weather is looking dry for tomorrow!!! Any shower tomorrow would be well east of us, and there won't be much forcing to cause showers. We may see some sunshine across the western half of the state! Let's hope some of that sunshine makes it to Indy! :) It will be chilly though, with strong north winds, along with highs ranging from the mid 50s in the far east, to near 60 west. All events tomorrow shouldn't be affected by weather, except it will be cool for those doing the car washes!!

Tomorrow night looks unbelievably cold, with lows in the 30s!! Some people will be waking up to a mid- May frost. Isn't that downright rediculous? Here is the GFS for Tuesday morning:

Tuesday will be a cloudy and cool day, with highs in the upper 50s. Scattered showers are possible across the eastern half of the state, but no washout expected.

Wednesday will be slightly milder.. with highs in the low 60s. Scattered showers will be possible, as the upper-level low continues to retrograde across the Ohio Valley.

Thursday and Friday will be much milder, with highs near 70 Thursday, and low 70s Friday. Scattered showers appear possible both days, but I expect many dry hours.

Next weekend looks very warm, with scatterd showers and storms possible. Highs will hit the low 70s Saturday, and mid-upper 70s Sunday! The average temperature for this time of year is well in the 70s.

That warm pattern should basically continue through the rest of May. It looks like there could be some severe weather events with the warm temperatures, as an active pattern is possible.

That is all for today.. hope everyone has a great Sunday!

  2. Hey Tony! It won't be a total washout of a day, but rain showers or drizzle can fall at anytime. It's hard to pinpoint when a certain dry break will move in, but all in all, there may not be too many dry breaks. -Nate
