Recap of yesterday's storms.. tracking dry and hot weather for the big weekend!

Good afternoon! Sorry I haven't had a real update in a while. I would've had a live chat about the storms last night, but I think all the media around here does such a wonderful job! The NWS has now confirmed that a high-end Ef-2 tornado hit Bedford yesterday, along with an Ef-1 in Bloomington, and an Ef-1 in Haysville. I am sure that more will continue to be confirmed, as so many areas had so much damage yesterday! Now let's talk about all the upcoming weather for the area:

-An upper level low continues to spin showers in Indiana this afternoon, and as it passes, temps will fall into the 50s later this evening, then upper 40s-low 50s by tomorrow morning. Showers will die down after midnight.

-Friday will start chilly and foggy, but things will improve through the day. A partly to mostly cloudy sky will be around tomorrow afternoon, with the slightest chance of a stray shower. Highs will be very cool for May, in the upper 60s.

Memorial Weekend: The big weekend is looking great! Saturday will be partly sunny, with a small shower chance. Temps will warm near 80. Race Day Sunday looks hot and windy, with highs in the upper 80s! If you are going to the Indy 500 Sunday, pack the sunscreen and plenty of water! Memorial Day looks sunny and hot! Highs will warm into the low 90s! If you haven't opened your pool yet, this is the time to do it!

-Next Tuesday looks sunny and hot again, with highs in the low 90s! With the high dewpoints in place, some areas could get close to heat advisory criteria! A weak system will move in near Wednesday, with the chance of a shower or storm. Highs will be in the 80s. The overall pattern looks basically dry for the entire week next week, this is just what we have needed!! Hopefully this will drive those mosquitos away as well!

Have a great evening, and thanks for checking the blog.
