VERY COLD NIGHT - WARM-UP COMING!

Light Snow Falling....
Good evening! Thanks for checking the blog! :) We have areas of light snow we are tracking across the southern half of the state, as a weak clipper swings by. Some areas in extreme southern Indiana have picked up a dusting-1/2" of snow. The snow is quickly moving out, and will end completely here shortly. The picture to the right was taken south of Louisville. If the clipper would've tracked farther north, we would of dealt with the snow, but much of it fell from Louisville down to London, KY.

Bitterly Cold Night...BUNDLE UP!

With light winds, snow cover, and clear skies, lows will TANK, especially areas where skies clear the fastest. Areas in central and northern Indiana will wake up to temps in the 5-10 degree range, and 13-18 degrees across southern Indiana! Bundle up if your headed out to church in the morning!

Warm Up Coming....But Will Rain Spoil The Warmth?
Winds turn from the south tomorrow, and with sunshine, highs will warm above freezing, in the middle 30's. For MLK day, we expect another potent system to move closer to Indiana, with showers becoming likely by the afternoon. It will feel so much better though, in the 40's! Gotta look at the bright side, right? :) That system will keep the rain going Monday night, and a cold front will move in Tuesday. This means sharply colder temps by Tuesday afternoon. Will it snow? Once the cold air arrives the moisture will be nearly gone! Can't rule out snow showers Tuesday evening.

An Up And Down Weather Pattern!...
We will be dealing with much colder conditions by Wednesday of next week, as highs slip below normal. It will yet be replaced with another warm-up, with another system moving in towards next weekend. Seeing a pattern? By the way, the models show a major warm-up next weekend! Well into the 40's next Saturday, and low 50's by next Sunday, with rain. Basically, be prepared for a wild weather pattern over the next few weeks, as we see big ups/downs in temperatures! Not a great pattern for snow-lovers, though! :(

Thanks for checking the blog, and post the weather where you live in the comment section. It is much appreciated! Have a great night, and keep checking back for more updates!
