Cold pattern takes hold, along with accumulating snow?

Good morning! Isn't it shocking cold out this morning? With the storms that moved through last night, the main thing was the hail. Up to 2" thick in spots! After being well in the 70s the past three days, our weather is getting really cold, and it will be in no hurry to move out! Today will be miserable with drizzle this morning tapering off this afternoon, along with blustery winds. Highs will hit the low 40s. Tomorrow will not be much better with partly sunny skies, late day showers, and highs only in the low-mid 40s.

WEEKEND: There is snow in the forecast this weekend! A rain/snow mix will develop Saturday. That will switch to all wet snow Saturday night. I am going with a 1-2" snowfall in central Indiana, with isolated higher amounts possible. I hope you haven't put the shovels away, we may have a covering of white to start our Sunday morning! Isn't that rediculous! Sunday will dry out and stay chilly with partly sunny skies. Check out the models and snowfal totals for the weekend.......

Keep in mind that we will not see totals as high as the NAM model above shows, but any snow this late in the year is impressive.

SPRING BREAK: We will start out next week cloudy, with another system for late Monday into Tuesday. This will likely be another mix for us, and highs struggling to hit 40. By the middle and end of next week, we will see a gradual improvement in temperatures, but still below average! :( I am so sorry about that spring break forecast. Maybe some slushy snow for SPRING break? That is crazy! Check out the long range models, and how long this cold snap may last:

Have a great Thursday, and I will be heading to Tennessee either late tonight or tomorrow. I can update the blog from my phone, so the blog will stay updated as always! Have a great Thursday, and stay warm!
