Nice today, summer heat this weekend!

Good morning! We are waking up to sunny skies across Indiana, and mild temperatures. We will see decent sunshine through early afternoon, then clouding up this afternoon, as rain moves in this evening. Highs today will hit the upper 60s.

-Friday will be wet to start, then some dry hours! There is a slight risk of severe storms in southern Indiana tomorrow afternoon. Highs on Friday will depend where you live. The is a boundary across central Indiana, so areas north of it will be in the 60s, and areas south of it will hit the upper 70s. Indianapolis will be in the range of 66-71 degrees.

THE WEEKEND: The weekend will feature summer-like weather, with some rain. On Saturday, a warm front will move north of us, bringing in VERY warm air! We will start our Saturday in the upper 50s, near 60. Highs will hit the upper 70s. Some scattered showers are possible Saturday, but NO washout. Sunday's weather is looking nice now, the storms should hold off until AFTER sunset. We will start out well in the 60s. That is average for late June lows! With sunshine and strong south winds, the ENTIRE state will get into the 80s!! 83 in Indianapolis, mid 80s south, and low 80s north. Please make plans to get outside Sunday and enjoy it, because Sunday will also be mainly dry! This heat will also have a summer-like mugginess to it! We are talking high dewpoints! Remember a dewpoint of 65 or higher is uncomfortable. Our dewpoints may get close to 70! That means there is a lot of moisture in the air! Severe storms are likely Sunday night and early Monday, so stay tuned! Here is the SPC map for Sunday night:

Look at those black lines scrunched together. Those are very gusty winds. It will be a very windy weekend as well. That is all for today, have a great Thursday!
