Warm and breezy today, 80 this weekend!

Good morning! We are waking up to a mix of sun and clouds, and that will be the rule today. A tight pressure gradient is setting up due to a low pressure in the great lakes, and a ridge of high pressure over the southeast U.S. These winds will force warm air our way, and highs will hit the upper 60s this afternoon. An isolated shower is possible today in northern Indiana. Lows tonight will drop to the upper 40s.

Thursday will be another day in the upper 60s, with partly sunny skies. Showers will move in towards evening. Those showers will continue off and on Thursday night. Lows Thursday night will only drop into the upper 50s!

Friday-Sunday: This will be an early summer-like pattern with on and off showers/storms. On Friday, scattered showers and storms are possible, especially early. There will be several dry hours on Friday. Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny, with scattered showers and storms possible, especially with daytime heating. Both days will have many dry hours to go along, but any shower could produce torrential downpours. The bigger story are the amazing temperatures! Highs Saturday will be in the range of 76-80, 78 degrees in Indianapolis. On Sunday, we will see summer-like temperatures! Highs will be between 78-82, 80 in Indianapolis. I wouldn't be surprised if there are some mid 80s along the Ohio River. Get out the shorts this weekend!!! :) It will also be a breezy weekend, with the strongest breezes on Sunday, as a major storm system cranks up in the midwest. A severe squall line may move our way Sunday night, stay tuned! Here are the European ensembles for Sunday-Monday:

Look at those black lines close to each other. That is a STRONG pressure gradient, with strong wind gusts likely in this time-frame! Also, look at all that warm air! Things will feel like early summer! That is all for now, have a great Wednesday!
